Rollover Services: Simplify and Maximize Your Retirement Savings

Changing jobs or retiring can leave you wondering what to do with your retirement savings. At FRG, we help you navigate your options to ensure your money continues to work toward your financial goals. When you leave an employer, you have four main choices for your retirement assets:

  1. Do Nothing: Keep your money in your former employer’s plan (if permitted).
    • This may be convenient, but limited investment options and management restrictions might not align with your goals.
  2. Roll Over to a New Employer Plan: Transfer your assets into your new employer's retirement plan (if allowed).
    • This can streamline management and consolidate your accounts, but you should evaluate the plan's features and fees.
  3. Cash Out the Account Value: Withdraw your funds entirely.
    • This option provides immediate access to your money but can result in significant tax penalties and reduce your long-term savings potential.
  4. Rollover to an IRA: Transfer your assets into an Individual Retirement Account (IRA).

This option often provides the most flexibility in investment choices, control over your funds, and potential tax advantages.

Why Choose a Rollover IRA?

Rolling your assets into an IRA offers numerous benefits:

  • Investment Flexibility: Access to a wider range of investment options compared to employer-sponsored plans.
  • Tax-Deferred Growth: Continue growing your retirement savings tax-deferred.
  • Simplified Management: Consolidate multiple accounts for easier tracking and management.
